Privacy isn't a feature we added. It's how we're built.
Other PDF and scan tools upload your documents to their servers — where they can be hacked, viewed by employees, or stored forever. Relavancy is different. Every tool runs entirely on your phone or laptop. Your files are processed, then forgotten. No upload, no server, no trace.
We can’t lose your data in a breach because we never have it. Your files stay on your device — there’s literally nothing for hackers to steal.
Tax returns, medical records, contracts, IDs — they never leave your phone or laptop. No employee, no algorithm, no third party can access them.
No upload means no waiting. No account means no email, no tracking, no follow-up ads. Use a tool, close the tab, done.
Whether it’s a contract, a medical record, or a tax return — your file never leaves your device. Privacy isn’t a feature we added. It’s how we’re built.
Private by designThe questions people ask before trusting a tool with a document.
What is the instrument panel on the homepage?
It's an honest readout of your device's own connection, taken from what your browser already knows about itself rather than from anything we measure. That gives it two things: whether the device is online, and — where the browser reports it — the type and speed of the link it's on. Producing the reading sends nothing anywhere: no ping, no test file, no request of any kind. Online, the needle sits on the live reading. The moment your device reports no connection — whether you pressed the airplane button or switched Wi-Fi off yourself — the needle drops to zero, the rim turns red, and the hub becomes a green R, which is Relavancy still running with no connection at all. And when a browser won't report the link quality, the gauge says 'Connected' rather than inventing a number.
Do I have to turn on airplane mode?
No — you never have to, and nothing breaks if you skip it. But there's a real difference between us saying your file never leaves your device and you watching it not leave. Anyone can print that sentence on a website. Switching your connection off is what turns our claim into something you checked yourself — and it takes about ten seconds.
My airplane-mode button didn't turn off Wi-Fi — does that matter?
It's common, and it isn't your device misbehaving: on many laptops, and on a few phones, the airplane button leaves Wi-Fi or Bluetooth running. That's exactly why the instrument panel is there. If it still shows a connection after you press the button, switch Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off yourself — when the connection is genuinely gone, the needle drops to zero, the rim turns red, the hub becomes the green R, and the label reads Offline. That reading is the proof state; anything short of it means some route out is still open.
Do the tools still work with no connection?
Yes. The free tools always work offline. Tools you've unlocked with a day pass or subscription also work offline — your access is checked against the receipt saved on your device.
What won't work in airplane mode?
Only two things need a connection: buying a day pass or subscription, and opening a tool page you've never visited before. Connect once, open it, and it works offline from then on.
Does this work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Airplane mode works the same on iOS, Android, and desktop browsers — the tools are built to run entirely in your browser on any of them.
